TopSolid'Pdm 7 server recommended
- Dedicated server
- CPU: Intel® Xeon® 3.3 GHz or higher, 4 physical cores for less than 30 simultaneous PDM users
- RAM : 16GB
- Disk Controller: RAID5 Controller SSD
- Hard drives : 3 * 500GB 7.2K RPM SATA 3Gbps 3.5in
- Network card : 1Gbps network card
- Large storage capacity (1TB minimum): This capacity can be much higher depending on your products (Moulds, factory layout, ...)
- Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Express Edition (supplied with TopSolid 7) for a maximum of 10 simultaneous users
- Beyond 10 users or as soon as the database reaches the size of 10 GB, it is necessary to :
- Migrate from the Microsoft SQL Server Express version to the Microsoft SQL Server Standard version.
- Acquire a CAL license for each user
- More than 30 users:
- It is necessary to apply the following rule to size the processor: 8 users per physical core (i.e. 4 users per logical processor).
- If the load is too heavy, it is recommended to separate the SQL Server installation on another Windows Server machine.
- RAM can be increased to improve SQL Server memory caching and Windows File Caching.
