VETA S.A. founded at 1968. The first activity of the company was the production of injection and blow forming molds as well as the production of blow forming machines for PET products.

VETA S.A. has an annual report of 30 million Euros and 5 factories in different areas of the Greek territory, employing more than 150 personnel.

VETA S.A. soon understood the need of an integrated CAD/CAM product that could cover not only the design department but also the production department and the shop-floor of the company. The choice was very simple since the company saw in TopSolid all the capabilities that was looking for: parametric and associative database, manipulation of large assemblies, folding and unfolding sheet metal parts, powerful 3 axis machining operations with HSM support, simple interface and easy to use.

The designing procedure for the company’s PET bottle products has been automated through TopSolid, allowing the creation of any complex geometry in some clicks of the mouse. If changes needed, thanks to the parametric and associative database of TopSolid, can be very easily and automatically applied to the geometry. The most important is that even at the last minute, changes can be made to the part or the mold and automatically update the machining operations. This is translated to crucial time that saved in the shop-floor.

One of the additional advantages that TopSolid offers is the automation of the machining operations, allowing the users of the company to group several projects and let them run during the night, saving a lot of time in the design and production process.

The ability of creation HSM operations in TopSolid'Cam gave the opportunity to the company to invest in CNC machining centers that support this type of machining strategies. The difference is clear not only reducing the machining times but also in the quality of the producing molds.

Another important sector for the company is the design and production of molds for preforms. VETA S.A. has extended experience in this field that makes the company able to design and produce any kind of preform. Besides, the equipment that the company has for this purpose is unique in Greece. A special CNC grinding machine with ultimate accuracy, undertake the fast and quality production of several parts of the molds of the preforms. Additional, the new company’s investment in turning center with 6 axis, that will be driven by TopSolid'Cam will offer important time saving and will increase the productivity.

The operations in TopSolid'Cam for driving multi-axis turning centers with double turrets and double chocks are very efficient and easy to use. The appropriate tool paths are generating taking into account the topology of the part. If the part has been changed or modified the operations automatically updated to follow the new corrections and the NC file also automatically updated.

A very known activity that made VETA S.A. famous to the international market is also the design and production of blow forming machines for PET products. Company has already organized an international export network that covers more than 30 countries including Cyprus, Bulgaria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and several other countries in Asia and Americas.

The design of the entire range of these machines (GABRIEL, HERCULES) has been made exclusively in TopSolid. The unlimited capabilities that TopSolid offers in the creation of large assemblies plus the rich standard libraries that comes with it, made possible the integrated and complete development and creation of the machines. The examination of the structure has been made possible through the powerful kinematics capabilities of TopSolid.
