In 1988 Guillaume Kruyskamp set up his Engineering and Research Department where he specialized in the study and design of sailing boats. (following his time working at PHILIPPE HARLE) This proved to be a successful venture and close collaboration with architects and shipyards would produce such boats as Douce France, MariCha II III et IV, Ville de Paris, France 2 – France 3, Dufour 65, Défi, Yaka …
Various projects for the design of a 66 metre vessel are currently being carried out. Philippe BRIAND, André HOEK, Peter VAN OOSANEN, Bruce FARR, Dave PEDRICK, BERRET – RACOUPEAU YACHT DESIGN, MORTAIN & MAVRIKIOS are all well known customers of Kruyskamp as well as shipyards such as JONGERT, ALN and C.N.B.
“Customer demands are very important in this job” explains Guillaume Kruyskamp.
“The most important thing is to satisfy the customer as much as possible while upsetting as little as possible the architect’s project by the addition of technical elements. We must also ensure that we me meet the standards and norms already in place which demands a high level of rigour in our studies.”
