Missler Software and Mazak-Belgium are happy to announce that they have entered into a strategic collaborative agreement to optimize support for complex Mazak multi-function machine tools.

TopSolid'Cam is perfectly adapted to driving complex multi-function Mazak machines. Machine simulation, collision check, spindle synchronization, raw part updating and visualization of material removal are important elements of TopSolid'Cam for the tool path programming of mill turn machines. In addition TopSolid'Cam offers a unique CAM solution in that it is capable of piloting turning, 2 axes milling, 3 axis milling, 4 & 5 axis continued milling, 4 & 5 axis continued turning, synchronization and complex simulation.

Close collaboration between Missler Software, its reseller 3D Ultra Surfaces in Belgium and Mazak Belgium will result in an optimal solution for local customers. They will benefit from proven post-processors, excellent machine simulation possibilities and support. Missler Software and its resellers also work closely with Mazak in Germany, Italy, Japan and Korea .

Missler Software's Chinese marketing operations have recently taken an important leap forward with the creation of TopSolid China in May.

TopSolid China is the second representative office established in China over the past 10 months. The first was opened in Shanghai last October with the second being opened in Beijing. Missler Software also works closely with its strategic reseller BACS in Beijing.

The Chinese market is currently a highly growing one where TopSolid's integrated solution is easily distinguishing itself from the competition already existing. Mecanica Expo, held in Sao Paulo, is one of South America's largest mechanical trade fairs. With more than 2000 companies participating in the fair and an estimated 200,000 visitors this trade show is an essential metting point for South American businesses.

This month let's take a look at TopSolid'Cam and inclined turning operations.

Video commentary

The majority of lathes/milling machines (multifunction machines) have a B axis, which is mainly used to carry out inclined turning operations. It is also possible to use this axis for pure turning operations. Certain zones, which are inaccessible due to the cutting angles of the tool, can thereby be machined.

This rotation of the turret also enables shorter tools to be used which offers better cutting conditions. Thanks to TopSolid'Cam these inclined turning operations are easier to carry out.

This month we would like to present a project which will compete in the wood category of the TopSolid Design Contest. The project is a large office desk which can accommodate in the region of 12 people and their work stations.

This project was designed and manufactured by the company BUROMAT, in France, a specialist in the manufacure of office furniture. Equipped with TopSolid'Wood and TopSolid'WoodCam since 2004, this company passed from 2D to 3D with Missler Software with relative ease. The integration from design to manufacture in the wood module was a key factor in the choice of TopSolid as opposed to other software solutions.
