An integral element of TopSolid’Fold is the option Créatole. This option allows the recovery of files in all other 3D formats and converts these into flat sheet metal plates.
The main functionalities of Créatole:
- Richness of standard and native interfaces
- “Touch up” tool (sewing…)
- Analysis and conversion with a systematic verification of the coherence and quality of the result
- Thickness recognition
- Management of the folds and deformations
- Modifications of the folding layers and/or thickness
The TopSolid’Fold operator benefits from the richness of functionalities of the integrated TopSolid CAD/CAM solution: mechanical welding, mitre cuts, assemblies and processes (to screw, bolt, rivet, weld) draft, BOM… Libraries: standard and personalized deformation components, cylindrical parts (boiler making), profiles (tubes)
The following industry-specific functions are present in TopSolid’Fold:
- Creation of sheet metal plates from simple or complex surfaces
- Part unfolding: corner reliefs, break edges, grooves
- Development and evolution of the part shape: flanges
- Fold management: hems/pleats, bend unbending
