TopSolid'Cam 7.9 exclusive at the EASTEC tradeshow - Booth 5477

12 May 2015

The French software publisher, Missler Software, has just launched the latest version of its CAD/CAM software - TopSolid'Cam 7.9. Since the release of the new generation of TopSolid, the software’s performance has steadily increased, reducing average production time by 30% to 40%. It is being showcased pre-release at the EASTEC Exposition in West Springfield, MA to highlight the new and exciting features of TopSolid'Cam 7.9.

Unbeatable Finish

TopSolid'Cam offers new Morphing sweeping algorithms. This function enables 3, 4, & 5-axis sweeping of a surface located between two curves. This feature makes machining complex cavities easier by conforming to the part’s initial shape thanks to a precise machining pitch.

Machining screws in just four steps

Already available in the earlier v6 version, screw machining has been adapted and integrated into the new TopSolid 7 generation. A simplified four-step function enables the machining of parts such as conveyor screws or extruder screws from two curves. This feature, unique to the industry, is the most effective solution for screw manufacturers.

TopSolid'Wire - wire-cut electrical discharge machining (EDM)

Once the machining has been designed in 3D, it is not uncommon to then have to wire-cut several areas. In some cases, electrical discharge machining is the best way to drill specially shaped very thin holes, or machine fragile parts that have already been deformed. TopSolid'Wire is now available in wired, surface or 3D variants in the TopSolid'Cam 7.9 version.

50% time savings with VoluMill TopSolid Edition.

Missler Software decided to integrate the VoluMill machining strategies in order to provide its customers the best available trajectory calculation algorithms. Driven by a permanent commitment to constant chip volume, VoluMill trajectories shake up common practices. As a result, this allows a high axial depth (with a low radial depth), significantly increasing feed rates while at the same time eliminating vibrations, preserving both the life of the tools and the machine axes.
