Compormolde acquires TopSolid'Mold

Founded by Nelson Jordão and Nuno Morouço in 2009, Compormolde is a mold project company from Picassinos, Marinha Grande (Portugal). The founders of the company had already worked for a number of years with TopSolid'Mold in their previous companies before setting up Compormolde.

An important factor in the choice of TopSolid'Mold was the fact that most of their clients already worked with TopSolid. This was not the only decisive factor: According to Nelson Jordão “TopSolid's vast range of tools (such as libraries) makes it easier for us to use the software and helps us to work faster and better and ultimately gain more money". In addition the founders of the company had also worked for many years with CadSolid, the TopSolid Value Added Reseller in Portugal.

When asked to compare TopSolid'Mold to previous software solutions they had used TopSolid'Mold ranked better in the following areas: cooling tools, mold base creation & modification, 2D documentation, core/cavity blocks, inserts, import and treatment of external geometries and project exportation.

According to Nelson "we benefit from time gains in the region of 20% thanks to TopSolid'Mold's many automated functions".

TopSolid 7 has recently been reviewed in the well-known SOLIDSMACK blog and it received a very positive review. Here are some of the findings published by Josh Mings on the blog:

"This review has been a long time coming. At first I was afraid, then I was excited, then slightly afraid again, then really excited. Why? Because Top Solid 7 has a methodology for modeling I hadn’t seen before. A methodology that was strange to me at first, but then became suddenly familiar and fun to learn. Customer of the month: Aircelle

Missler software was unknown or at least very little known to Aircelle just a few years ago but it rapidly convinced the firm with the powerful functionalities of TopSolid’Cam and by the customer relations, responsiveness and professionalism of its commercial and technical teams. Benoît Barbé stated: "TopSolid’Cam fully meets our needs; it was written by like-minded professionals who speak the same language we do. Moreover, Missler Software's flexible structure means that it was highly reactive, a fact that was much appreciated".
